The Psalms of Ascent are traditionally prayed as pilgrims, whether Jewish or people from the nations, ascend the southern steps, part of the temple mount in Jerusalem. When we went up the southern steps in 2022, praying as we went up each step, I wrote out a prayer from each of the psalms. You can click each individual psalm to be taken to its prayer page! Praying the psalms is a powerful way to experience closeness with God and join with the thousands who have also prayed these psalms while ascending the southern steps.
