True and False Prophets

Jeremiah and II Thessalonians “Is not My Word like as a fire?” says the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets (false) says the Lord that steal My Words every one from His neighbor (listening to each other and not the Holy Spirit). Behold, I am against the prophets saith the Lord that use their tongues, and say, He says. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, says the Lord, and do tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their lightness, yet I sent them not nor commanded them. Therefore, they shall not profit this people at all, says the Lord. Jeremiah 23:29-32 But then there are many verses like the following in the Bible that say: “And the Lord has sent unto you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, but you have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.” Jeremiah 25:4 True prophets and false. The enemy always mirrors God with the false. We must be careful, yet we must pray for discernment by the Holy Spirit. The Lord says, in the latter days, He will pour out His Holy Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy (Joel 2, Acts 2). The Word also says, “Never despise prophesying (2 Thessalonians 5:20) for in so doing, we quench the Holy Spirit (2 Thessalonians 5:19). The book of II Thessalonians begins with, “But the times and the seasons (not the hour and day), brethren, you have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, peace and safety (false prophets), then suddenly destruction comes upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape.” “But you are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief. You are all the children of LIGHT and the children of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as do others, but let us WATCH and be sober.” Jesus says, “…you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it that you do not discern this time? (Matthew 16:3). God sends us His prophets, His watchmen and women in our day! The prophetic Word must be brought back into the House of God with discernment. It must be taught. For the Lord is sending His servants the prophets to wake up the House of God and to ready His people for the days to come, for His soon return. Will we hearken and incline our ear (Jeremiah 25:4)? Or will we play it “safe”, try to keep everything under OUR control and quench the Holy Spirit in the House of God? Oh, how I pray for us to work together to build God’s Kingdom. The five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4 is needed, essential, absolutely necessary for discerning the times we are living in and preparing the children of God for the days ahead. Door Keepers, open your doors to the prophetic Word of God and listen…
