The Remnant

So God continues to pour out that morning... Isaiah 6:9-13 "And he said (to Isaiah), Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not, and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people complacent, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes , and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and change, and be healed. Then said I , Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant and the houses without man and the land utterly desolate. And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth and it shall return, and shall be eaten; as a teil (linden) tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them (sap, still alive, although looks dead in the winter), when they cast their leaves; so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof." Wow Lord! What does this mean? I hear that many will not want to hear in the last days the depth of God's Word, but there will be a remnant (just as there was in the days of Isaiah ) that will hold on to Truth and search for it with all their hearts. These are the sap that flow through the tree, even when the tree appears to be dying or dead (the great falling away spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:3). They are the hope for the spring, the new thing that God is doing in all the earth (Isaiah 43:19).

Many missed Yeshua's (Jesus') first coming because they did not know the prophetic Word, even though they should have. The religious leaders led the people away from Truth instead of towards it. Still there was a remnant that went straight to the Word of God (Yeshua) and talked with Him themselves. They found the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and all these first Jewish disciples that believed went on to tell the rest of the world, to the Jew first and then to the Gentile nations (Romans 1:16).

Today we are faced with the same thing. Religious leaders (both Jewish and Gentile), without the Holy Spirit, can not discern the time or the season and will not teach the prophetic Word or will teach it amiss (Jeremiah 23). It saddens me. Yet, God's Word will go forth and He will quicken all those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6) through His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.

God speaks more of the Holy Spirit...

For as much as this people refuses the waters of Shiloah (Siloam) (Isaiah 8:6)... ShiloaH means Sent in Hebrew. God warns us not to refuse the waters of Shiloah which represents the Holy Spirit. Yeshua told all His Jewish disciples right before He left, to stay in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high. God says, in the last days, He will pour out (in the latter rain) His Spirit on all His sons and daughters and we will prophesy (Acts 2:18). When Jesus healed the man at the pool of Siloam (John Ch. 9), the blind man came away seeing.

"And (Jesus) said unto him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went his way therefore, and came seeing." The religious leaders talked down to this Jewish man and said, "you were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out. John 9:34 The pride here is unmistakable. In essence, who do you think you are? But Jesus knew who he was and called him to know Him (John 9:35-38). The Pharisees were incensed and said unto Jesus, "Are we blind also?" Jesus said unto them, If you were blind, you should have no sin, but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remains." John 9:40-41

God calls us to be the remnant who seek His Word, lay down pride, and know the days we are living in. It is the Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua (Jesus' Hebrew name, means Salvation!) together that make up the House of the God of Israel. There is much healing and repenting to be done on both sides.

For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew, and I will cause the REMNANT of this people to possess all these things. So again I have thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and the House of Judah, fear ye not (al tirah). Zechariah 8:12, 15

The REMNANT of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies, neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. Zephaniah 3:13-14

There is great promise ahead for those who seek out and hunger for the deep things of God.... Press on!
