Step 15 - So we’ve made it to the top of the Southern Steps, praying Psalm 120-134, the Psalm of Ascents. We are standing at the Huldah Gates, the gates where all worshippers of YeHoVaH would enter into the Temple courts, the House of God. Three times a year, Passover, Shavuot (Pentecost) and the Feast of Tabernacles, the people of God would ascend the steps to worship the Lord, celebrating His Salvation, His Harvest, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Maybe they did not know it at the time, but all these feasts pointed to Jesus (to Yeshua), our Messiah! And they still do. Jesus ascended these steps on the day of the great feast (Tabernacles) as John 9:37-39 says “In the LAST DAY, that great DAY of the FEAST, Jesus stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believes on Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” “This He spoke of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive… We watch and wait for Tabernacles, when the gates are opened and God is with us once again face to face, and forever. Psalm 134 – Behold, bless the Lord; all you servants of the Lord, which by night, stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless you out of Zion.
Dear Father, we thank You that All of Your Word is knit together to show a beautiful picture of Who You are. WE can not know the True God of all the earth without knowing You are the God of Israel. That will never change. Enlighten our eyes for such a time as this. Help the “Church” to see we are grafted in to Israel and the Jewish people that believe in Yeshua, not the other way around, humbling as this Truth is. Help us to welcome the Jewish people into our congregation as they see we worship the same God, the God of Israel and no other. Help them to see You, their Jewish Messiah, Yeshua, our Jewish Messiah, the Savior of the world. Help us to see. As we become more and more like You Yeshua, we should look more and more Jewish because You are Jewish, and Salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). The gospel has gone full circle, starting in Jerusalem, around the world (2000 years) and now back to Jerusalem. The Jewish people gave us the gospel 2000 years ago; may we be earnest and purposeful, and humble in our bringing the gospel back to them, preaching of our Jewish Messiah. This message can be hard to receive but it is true; help us Lord! Help us soften the hearts on both sides; there is still a deep divide because we have lost our Jewish roots because of self-righteousness and lies, and the Jewish people, in consequence, lost sight of their Messiah, our Messiah. He who has ears to hear, let him hear, for not everyone will hear this Truth and many will reject it. But this Truth must go out as God gathers His final Harvest, both Jewish and Gentile believers together. May the gospel (besorah) go out in earnest today to Israel and all Jewish people for the spirit of slumber is being lifted and may many be saved because of our obedience to go back to the Jewish people in humility and Truth. On June 15, 2018, exactly 2 years ago, I stood on the Southern Steps in Jerusalem, next to the Huldah gates. I felt the Lord speak to me through the Spirit of God these prophetic Words which I prayed right before the gates, Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David I will lay upon His shoulders; so He shall open and none shall shut; and He shall shut and none shall open.” I was Home somehow. I did not even know the gates were called the Huldah gates or even really where I was at the time but I knew I was Home. The last scripture I spoke out while there on those steps “And the glory of this latter House shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:9 God spoke to me He is building His temple without human hands, yet made from His people, living stones, and it is more glorious than anything ever before and more amazing than we can imagine. Thank you for those of you that have prayed with me, walked with me spiritually up these steps and for listening to a part of the story God has written for me, and you too. He comes soon for His Bride! We rejoice, even amidst the seeming chaos, for the God of all creation is sovereign over all!
