The God of Israel

'"And he said unto him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. And He said, Your name shall no more be called Jacob, but ISRAEL, for as a prince, you have power with God and with people and have prevailed.  And Jacob asked Him, and said, ... Tell me Your Name..."

Genesis 32:27-29

His Name, Yahovah יהוה is in the Bible almost 7000 times hidden as the name LORD​

The Nation of Israel is in the Bible about 2565 times 

His Name, The God of Israel, over 200 times in the Bible (we focus here)

Yahovah God of Israel

First Mention of Yahovah - Genesis 2:4 (hidden) יהוה אלהים until the Seventh Day.  Then we will know His Name not as LORD or HaShem but as Yahovah, Yahovah God of Israel.  Holy Holy Holy is His Name.  ...And I will place My Name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them. (Numbers 6:27).

Book of Exodus

​1. "And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD Yahovah יהוה

God of Israel, Let My people go, that they may hold a feast unto Me in the wilderness." Exodus 5:1

 ​

2. I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob יעקב as El Shaddai but I did not make Myself known to them by My Name Yahovah יהוה.  Therefore, say unto the children of Israel, I AM Yahovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians and I will rid you out of their bondage and I will redeem you with an outstretched Arm and with great judgements... Exodus 6: 3, 6

3. "And they saw the God of Israel and there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in its clearness." Exodus 24:10

4. And he (Moses) said unto them, Thus says Yahovah יהוה God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother... his companion...his neighbor. And the children of Levi (the priests) did according to the word of Moses and there fell of the people that day about 3000 men." Exodus 32:27

5. Three times in a year shall all your men children appear before Yahovah God, the God of Israel. Exodus 34:23

Book of Numbers

6. Does it seem such a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to Himself to do the service of the taberncle of Yahovah and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?  Numbers 16:9

Book of Deuteronomy

7. My teaching shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as showers upon the grass, because I will publish the Name of Yahovah.  Ascribe ye greatness unto Eloheinu (our God). Deuteronomy 32:2-3

Book of Joshua 

8. Up, sanctify the people and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, for thus says Yahovah, God of Israel, "There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel.  You can not stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you." Joshua 7:13

9, And Joshua said unto Achan, "My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Yahovah God of Israel, and make cofession to Him.  And Achan answered Joshua and said, "Indeed I have sinned against Yahovah God of Israel...Joshua 7:19-20

10. Then Joshua built an altar unto Yahovah God of Israel in Mount Ebal. Joshua 8:30

11. And the children of Israel did not attack them (people of Gibeon) because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by Yahovah God of Israel...But all the princes said unto all the congregation, "We have sworn to them by Yahovah God of Israel and now therefore we may not touch them." Joshua 9:18-19

12. So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings.  He left none remaining but destroyed all.  as the LORD Yahovah God of Israel commanded. Joshua 10:4

13. And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time because Yahovah God of Israel fought for Israel. Joshua 10:42

14. Only unto the tribe of Levi He gave no inheritance; the sacrifices of Yahovah God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance as He said unto them.  Joshua 13:14

15. But unto the tribe of Levi Moses did not give any inheritance.  Yahovah God of Israel was their inheritance as He said unto them. Joshua 13:33

Hebron (city today in Samaria/Judea) therefore became the inheritance of Caleb, the son of Jephuneh, the Kenezite, unto this day because that he wholly followed Yahovah God of Israel.  Joshua 14:14

Thus says the whole congregation of Yahovah, what trespass is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following yahovah, in that you have built an altar that you might rebel against Yahovah.  Joshua 22:16

And have we not rather done it (built an altar on the east side of Jordan to keep a connection with their brothers and sisters on the west side of the Jordan) for this reason, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children saying, "What have you to do with Yahovah God of Israel?" Joshua 22:24

And Joshua said unto all the people, This says Yahovah God of Israel, your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of NaHor and they served other gods.  Joshua 24:2

Now therefore put away, said he (Joshua), the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto Yahovah God of Israel.  Joshua 24:23

And Israel served Yahovah all the days of Joshua and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua and which had known all the works of Yahovah, that He had done for Israel  Joshua 24:31

Book of Judges

And she (Deborah) sent and called Barak, the son of Abinoam out of Kadesh-Naphtali and said unto him, "Has not Yahovah God of Israel commanded saying, "Go and draw toward Mount Tabor and take with you 10,000 men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun. Judges 4:6

Deborah and Barak sang - "Praise ye Yahovah for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly volunteered themselves. Hear, O ye kings, give ear, O ye princes, I even I will sing unto Yahovah; I will sing praise to the Lord Yahovah God of Israel." Judges 5:3

Yahovah, when You went out of Seir, when Your marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.  The mountains melted from before Yahovah, even that Sinai from before Yahovah יהוה God of Israel.  Judges 5:15

That Yahovah sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, who said unto them, Thus says the Lord Yahovah God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt and brought you forth out of the house of slavery. (Here Yahovah calls and sends forth Gideon). Judges 6:8

And Yahovah God of Israel delivered Sihon (King of Heshbon) and allhis people (Amorites) into the hand of Israel and they smote them, so israel possessed all the land of the Amorites.  Judges 11:21

(During the time of Jephthah, the judge).  Judges 11:21

So now Yahovah God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites from before His people Israel, and should you possess it?  Will you not possess that which Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whoever Yahovah God will drive out before us, them we will possess.  Judges 11:23

And said, O Yahovah God of Israel, "Why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be today one tribe lacking in Israel?" (Great sadness - sin of the tribe of Benjamin).  Judges 21:3

Book of Ruth

"Yahovah repay your work, and a full reward be given to you of Yahovah God of Israel, under whose wings you are come to trust."  Boaz to Ruth  Ruth 2:12

Book of I Samuel

Then Eli answered (Hannah) and said, Go in peace (shalom, שלום) and the God of Israel grant you your petition that you have asked of Him.  I Samuel 1:17

Wherefore the Lord Yahovah God of Israel says (to Eli), "I indeed said that your house and the house of your father should walk before Me forever; but now Yahovah says, Be if far from Me, for those who honor Me, I will honor and they that despise Me, shall be lightly esteemed.  I Samuel 2:30

They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them and said, "What shall we do with the Ark of the God of Israel?  And they answered, "Let the Ark of the God of Israel be carried unto Gath." And they carried the Ark of the God of Israel there.  I Samuel 5:8​

Therefore they sent the Ark of God to Ekron.  And it came to pass, as the Ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out saying, "They have brought the Ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people." So they sent and gathered all the lords of the Philistines and said, "Send away the Ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to its own place.  I Samuel 5:10-11

And they said, "If you send away the Ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty but in any wise return Him a trespass offering; then you shall be healed and then it shall be knnown to you why His Hand is not removed from you.  I Samuel 6:3

Why do you make images of your emerods? and images of your mice that mar the land? You shall give glory unto the God of Israel; perhaps He will ease His Hand from off you... I Samuel 6:5

And (Samuel) said unto the children of Israel, "Thus says Yahovah God of israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms and out of them that oppressed you... And you have rejected your God (and want a king).  I Samuel 10:18

And Saul said, "There shall not a man be put to death this day; for today Yahovah has accomplished Salvation in Israel.  (against the Philistines) I Samuel 11:13

Therefore Saul said unto Yahovah God of Israel, "Give a perfect lot."  And Saul and Jonathan were brought out (indicated by lot) and the (rest of) the people were cleared.  (Because Jonathan tasted honey story). I Samuel 14:41

Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield; but I come to you in the Name of Yahovah tsava'ot, the God of the armies of Israel, בשם יהוה צבאות אלוהי מערכות ישראל whom you have defied.  I Samuel 17:45

This day Yahovah יהוה will deliver you into my hand and I will strike you and take your head from you and I wll give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth that all the earth may know that there is Elohim in Israel אלהים לישראל.  I Samuel 17:46

And Jonathan said unto David, By Yahovah God of Israel, I will sound out my father at this time tomorrow, or on the third day, and behold if there be good toward David, I will send a message to you at once and disclose it to you...I Samuel 20:12

Then said David, O Yahovah God of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.  Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down , as your servant has heard? O Yahovah God of Israel, I beseech You, tell Your servant.  And Yahovah said, "He will come down." And Yahovah said, "They will deliver you up."

I Samuel 23:10-11 

And David said unto Abigail, "Blessed be Yahovah God of israel Who sent you this day to meet me." I Samuel 25:32

For in very deed, as Yahovah God of Israel lives, which has kept me back from hurting you except you had hastened and come to meet me, surely there had not been left to Nabal by morning light a single male. I Samuel 25:34

Book of II Samuel

And let Your Name be magnified forever, saying, Yahovah tsava'ot is the God over Israel and let the House of Your servand David be established before You.  2 Samuel 7;27

For You, Yahovah tsava'ot, God of Israel, has revealed to Your servant saying, "I will build you a house", threfore has Your servant found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.  2 Samuel 7:27

And Nathan said unto David, "You are the man."  Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul... Why have you despised the commandment of Yahovah? 2 Samuel 12:7

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, "He that rules over Adam (humankind) must be just, ruling in the fear (awe) of Elohim. 2 Samuel 23:3

Book of I Kings

Even as I  (David) promised unto you by Yahovah God of Israel, saying, "Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so I will certainly do this day." Then Bathsheba (Bat Sheva) bowed... I Kings 1:30

And also this said the King, "Blessed be Yahovah God of Israel, which has given one to sit on my throne this day, my eyes even seeing it.  I Kings 1:48

And he said, Blessed be Yahovah God of Israel which spoke with His mouth unto David my father and has with His hand fulfilled it, saying, "Since the day I brought forth My people Israel out of Egypt.... but I chose David to be over My people Israel.  I Kings 8:15

And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the Name of Yahovah God of Israel

I Kings 8:17

And Yahovah has performed His Word that He spoke and I am risen up in the room of David my father and sit on the throne of Israel as the Lord Yahovah promised and have built a house for the Name of Yahovah God of Israel. I Kings 8:20

And he said Yahovah God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or in the earth beneath Who keeps covenant and mercy with Your servants that walk before You with all their heart...  I Kings 8:23

...therefore now, Lord Yahovah God of Israel keep with Your servant David my father that You promised him, saying, "There shall not fail thee a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel so that the children take heed to their way that they will walk Before Me as you have walked before Me."  I Kings 8:25-26

And Yahovah was angry with Solomon (Shlomo) because his heart was turned away from Yahovah God of Israel who had appeared to him two times.  I Kings 11:9

And he (Ahijah the prophet) said unto Jeroboam, "Take ten pieces (of a torn garment) for this," says Yahovah, the God of Israel, "Behold I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you." I Kings 11:31

Go tell Jeroboam, Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, "For as much as I exalted you from among the people, and made thee prince over My people Israel... but you have done evil."  I Kings 14:7-9

And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam will be buried because in him (Jeroboam's young son Abijah) there is found some good thing toward Yahovah God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.  I Kings 14:13

Because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and which he made Israel  to sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked Yahovah God of Israel to anger.  I Kings 15:30

For all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking Yahovah God of Israel to anger with their idols.  I Kings 16:13

For he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahovah God of Israel to anger with their idols.  I Kings 16:26

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, "As the Lord Yahovah God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to My Word.  I Kings 17:1

For thus says Yahovah God of Israel, "the barrel of flour shall not be used up neither shall the cruse of oil fail until the day that Yahovah sends rain upon the earth.  I Kings 17:14  (Key, comment, the Word of God (our daily bread) and the oil in our lamps will not run dry until the second outpouring, latter day rains... coming soon, Elijah speaks of today as well; these are the days of Elijah). 

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said Yahovah, God of Abraham, Isaac and of Israel, let it be know this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant and that I have done all these things at Your Word.  I Kings 18:36

For he (Ahaziah) served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger Yahovah God of Israel, according to all that his father (Ahab) had done. I Kings 22:53

Book of II Kings

But the angel of Yahovah said unto Elijah the Tishbite, "Arise, Go up to meet the messengers of the King of Samaria (Ahaziah), and say unto them, "Is it not because there is not a God in Israel that you go to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?  Yahovah says ..."You shall not come down from that bed but you shall surely die." II Kings 1:3

 

Elijah meets messengers sent to Baal-zebub...

And they said unto him (Ahaziah), "There came a man up to meet us, and said to us, Go turn again to the king that sent you and say to him, Thus says Yahovah, Is it not because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?" II Kings 1:6

And he (Elijah) said unto Ahaziah, "For as much as you have sent messengers toinquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His Word? therefore... you shall not come down from off that bed but shall surely die. (And Ahaziah dies) II Kings 1:16

And he returned to the man of God (Elisha), he and all his company, and came and stood before him and he said, Behold now I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; now therefore, I pray, take a blessing of your servant.  II Kings 5:15 (Naaman is healed in the Jordan River). 

And he (Elijah) arose and went into the house, and poured oil on his head, and said unto him (Jehu), thus says Yahovah God of Israel, I have anointed you King over the people of Yahovah, even over Israel.  II Kings 9:6

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the Law of Yahovah God of Israel with all his heart, for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.  II Kings 10:31

And Yahovah gave Israel a Saviour so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.  II Kings 13:5

He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the Sea of Arabah, the Dead Sea (the Salt Sea) according to the Word of Yahovah God of Israel which He spoke by the hand of Jonah, the son of Amittai the prophet, which was of Gath=hefer.  II Kings 14:25

He (Hezekiah, mother Abijah) trusted in Yahovah God of Israel so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.  II Kings 18:5

And Hezekiah prayed before Yahovah and said O Yahovah God of Israel, which dwells between the cherubim, You are ha'Elohim, even You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth, You have made heaven and earth.  II Kings 19:15

Then Isaiah, the son of Amoz, sent to Hezekiah saying, Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, that which you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib King of Assyria I have heard.  II Kings 19:20

Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? and against Whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.  II Kings 19:22

Therefore thus says Yahovah God of Israel, Behold I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.  II Kings 21:12

And she said (Huldah) unto them, "Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me...(tell King Josiah) II Kings 22:15

But to the King of Judah (Josiah) which sent you to inquire of Yahovah, thus shall you say unto him, "Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, as touching the words that you have heard.  ... Because your heart was tender and you have humbled yourself before Yahovah...  II Kings 22:18

Book of I Chronicles

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory and Your hand would be with me, and You would keep me from evil that it may not grieve me."  And God granted him that he requested.  I Chronicles 4:10

And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Assyria and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser, King of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh and brought them into Halah, and Habor and Hara and River Gozan, unto this day.   I Chronicles 5:26

And (David) said unto them, You are the chief of the fathers of the Levites; consecrate yourselves, both you and your brethren that you may bring up the Ark of Yahovah God of Israel unto the place I have prepared for it.  I Chronicles 15:12

So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the Ark of Yahovah God of Israel. I Chronicles 15:14

And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the Ark of Yahovah and to record and to thank and praise Yahovah God of Israel.  I Chronicles 16:;4

Blessed be Yahovah God of Israel forever and ever.  And all the people said, Amen, and praised Yahovah.  I chronicles 16:36

Let it be even established that YOUR NAME may be magnified forever saying, Yahovah Tsava'ot is the God of Israel, even God to Israel, and let the House of David Your Servant be established before You.  I Chronicles 17:24

Then he called for Solomon his son and charged him to build a House for Yahovah God of Israel.  I Chronicles 22:6

For David said,  Yahovah God of Israel has given Rest unto His people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem forever.  I Chronicles 23:25

These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the House of Yahovah, according to their manner under Aaron their father, as Yahovah God of Israel had commanded him.  I Chronicles 24:19

Wherefore David blessed Yahovah before all the congregation and David said Blessed be Thou Yahovah God of Israel, our Father forever and ever.  I Chronicles 29:10

O Yahovah God of Abraham, Isaac and of Israel, our fathers keep, guard this forever to create, produce the thoughts of the heart of Your people and prepare their hearts unto You.  I Chronicles 29:18

Book of 2 Chronicles

Huram said, "Moreover Blessed be Yahovah God of Israel that made heaven and earth, who has given to David a wise son, endowed with prudence and understanding, that might build a House for Yahovah and a House for His Kingdom.  2 Chronicles 2:12

Then Solomon began to build the House of Yahovah in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah - where Yahovah appeared to his father David - at the place that David prepared on the threshing floor of Arnan (Ornan) the Jebusite.  2 Chronicles 3:1

And he said Blessed be Yahovah God of Israel, who has with His hands fulfilled that which He spoke with His mouth to my father David saying... but I have chosen Jerusalem, that MY NAME might be there... and David to be over My people Israel.  2 Chronicles 6:4

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a House for the NAME of Yahovah God of Israel.  2 Chronicles 6:7

Yahovah, therefore, has performed His Word that He has spoken, for I am risen up in the room/position of David, my father, and am set on the throne of Israel as Yahovah promised and have built the House for the NAME of Yahovah God of Israel.  2 Chronicles 6:10

And said, O Yahovah God of Israel, there is no God like You in the heavens or in the earth Who keeps covenant and shows mercy unto Your servants that walk before You with all their hearts... 2 Chronicles 6:14

Now therefore O Yahovah God of Israel, Keep with Your servant David, my father, that which You have promised him saying, "There shall not fail a man in My sight to sit upon the throne of Israel yet so your children take heed to walk in My Law ... as you have walked before Me.  2 Chronicles 6:16

Now therefore, O Yahovah God of Israel, let Your Word come true which You have spoken to Your servant David.  2 Chronicles 6:17

2 Chronicles Chapter 6 - Solomon's prayer.

2 Chronicles Chapter 7 - the Glory of Yahovah fills the Temple.  Feast of Tabernacles and Dedication of the Temple.

Blessed be Yahovah your God which delighted in you to set you on His throne to be king for Yahovah

your God because your God loves Israel to establish them forever.  2 Chronicles 9:8

And after them came out all of the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek Yahovah God of Israel came to Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) to sacrifice unto Yahovah God of their fathers.  2 Chronicles 11:16

But when they in their trouble did turn to Yahovah God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found of them.  2 Chronicles 15:4

...(King Asa proclaims) That whosover would not seek Yahovah God of Israel should be put to death whether small or great, whether man or woman... 2 Chronicles 15:13

And Jehoshaphat...and all Judah worship Yahovah - and the Levites, the children of the Kohathites, stood up to praise Yahovah God of Israel with a loud voice on high.  2 Chronicles 20:19

(Hezekiah sees... and restores) ...And they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense, nor offered burnt offering in the holy place unto the God of Israel.  2 Chronicles 29:7

Hezekiah - "Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Yahovah God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us."  2 Chronicles 29:10 

And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh that they should come to the House of Yahovah at Jerusalem to keep the Passover unto Yahovah God of Israel.  2 Chronicles 30:1

So they established a decree to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-Sheva even unto Dan that they should come to keep the Passover unto Yahovah God of Israel at Jerusalem for they had not done it for a long time in such a way as it was written.  2 Chronicles 30:5

So the posts went with the letters from the King and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah and according to the commandment of the King saying Ye children of Israel, Turn again unto Yahovah God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will Return to the Remnant of you that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.  2 Chronicles 30:6

And when Hezekiah and his princes came and saw the abundance, they blessed Yahovah and His people Israel.  2 Chronicles 31:8

He wrote also letters ot revile Yahovah God of Israel and to speak against Him saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of my hand so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver His people out of my hand.  2 Chronicles 32:17

And he repaired the altar of Yahovah and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings and commanded Judah to serve Yahovah God of Israel.  2Chronicles 33:16

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and his prayer unto his God and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the Name of Yahovah God of Israel, Behold they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel.  2 Chronicles 33:18

And she (Huldah) answered them, "Thus says Yahovah God of Israel, tell you the man (Josiah) that sent you to me... 2 Chronicles 34:23​

Huldah's words ,,, And as for the King of Judah (Josiah) who sent to enquire of Yahovah, so shall you say to him, "Thus says Yahovah God of Israel concerning the words that you have heard, Because your heart was tender and you did humble yourself before God when you heard the words against this place and against the inhabitants thereof and humbled yourself before Me and did rend your clothes and weep before Me, I have even heard you also says Yahovah.  2 Chronicles 34:26-27

Moreover Josiah kept a Passover unto Yahovah in Jerusalem ... 2 Chronicles 35:1

And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto Yahovah, "Put the holy Ark into the House which Solomon, the son of David, King of Israel, did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders; serve now Yahovah your God and His people Israel. 2 Chronicles 35:3

And he (Zedekiah) did that which was evil in the sight of Yahovah and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of Yahovah, and he also rebelled aginst Nebuchadnezzar who had made him swear by God (and humbled himself not before Jeremiah) but he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart from turning unto Yahovah God of Israel.  2 Chronicles 36:12-13
